Building Safety Webinars: Safety Case Report Presentation for High Rise Residential Buildings

This series is based on the work of the Working Group on Engineering set up by the Competence Steering Group (CSG) established to support implementation of recommendations in the Building a Safer Future Report Chapter 5 and Annex E. The working group (known as WG1) has been led by the Engineering Council, and is a collaborative project between professional engineering institutions and other partners.

The series aims to assist Building Safety Management Teams, Building Safety Engineers, Building owners and other key players in the building safety environment. It will feature guidance on technical and regulatory developments driven by the legislative response to the Grenfell disaster.

The objectives of the series are:

To provide educational support for those involved in the maintenance of a high level of safety in high-risk buildings
To provide an introduction to the topics involved in the preparation of Safety Case Reports
To signpost, through individual webinars, more detailed and comprehensive training in each topic covered for those seeking a higher level of knowledge and possibly formal qualification

The presentations will address the following topics:

Individual webinars will be delivered by representatives of the various institutions, providing a comprehensive overview of the relevant challenges to ensuring fire safety in tall, residential buildings.
